2.30AM
I had just gone for sleep. Suddenly, my phone rang. I picked it up. "Hello, Sarthak. We are in great trouble, need your help urgently."
Few hours earlier.
My friend, Manhar's family were out of station and he was all alone at home. He was just killing time, trying to study for his semester exams. There entered the Bhutani (another of my friend), to accompany Manhar in his loneliness. They spend some time together and then Manhar committed the first mistake of the night. He asked Bhutani to stay at his place for the night. And this was just the beginning of things to follow.
11:00PM
Bhutani felt the need of some food to feed his ever-growing stomach. Manhar's stomach was also growling. With Bhutani's bike standing downstairs, they locked the house and moved out. This was apparently their second mistake of the night, but they will realize it only after their return.
01:00AM
After satisfying their appetite, Bhutani and Manhar came back. A big surprise was waiting for them. On the door, they realized that THEY HAVE LOST THE KEY OF THE HOUSE! And without it they can't enter in the house.
So, there they were standing helplessly outside their house, glaring each other's face at 1AM in the night, with hearts in their mouth. "Where could the keys have gone???", they were wondering. But the more important question was, "What to do now?!!"
Frantically, they decided to get back to the road and try to search for the keys. And yes, that was their third mistake of the night. Searching for a small key on a road was never a wise decision, but they didn't realize it could be that worse.
At a speed of around 10km, thrice they went to and fro on the 4km stretch hoping for their luck to shine but that wasn't going to be the case that night. In-fact, in the middle of their third try, BIKE's GEAR CHAIN BROKE OFF.
Now not only they were without shelter, but without transport also. Plus they had to carry the bike also. Luckily, Manhar and Bhutani had their communication devices!
2:30AM
I had just gone for sleep. Suddenly, my phone rang. I picked it up. "Hello, Sarthak. We are in great trouble, need your help urgently." I got a bit worried. But then they explained me everything and I, being their true friend, would have loved to see them spending night on footpath, but then the class 3rd quote of 'A friend in need is a friend in deed' struck my mind and I invited them to my place.
I woke up and informed my mother and made arrangements for their stay.
3:00AM
Pushing their bikes for about a km, they reached my place at around 3am. Manhar and Bhutani were visibly startle of what has happened with them. The thought of lost keys, stranded bike and, most importantly, of their parents reaction were still giving them jitters. But for the next half an hour or so, the three of us were only LAUGHING!
At around 3:30AM we three went to sleep and the tragic night ends.
The upcoming morning
While I was still sleeping, Manhar and Bhutani woke up and left my home at around 7AM. They tried to find out any locksmith but none was available so early in the market. They went to the market for breakfast, but shops were still closed. So they randomly decided to enter the jogger's park and complete the 1km lap (I am glad they still had so much energy left with them). After completing the lap, they laid themselves on the grass for next half an hour.
After which they moved on and took the number of a locksmith and called him. He promised to reach the house in 15mins, but after repeated calls reached there in 1.5hrs. The neighbors offered them some lunch and in the meanwhile the locksmith completed his work. They could enter their home once again!
After the night, Manhar has decided not to repeat the mistakes again and to keep a distance from Bhutani. While Bhutani, he is still busy in getting his bike repaired!

Three Mistakes of that Night
T20 Champions.. Really??
Despite loosing all their three super 8 matches, for me India is still the T20 champ. Actually every player had some "genuine" reasons for not being able to perform. I have listed the problems of some of them below:
Virender Sehwag: Unfortunately he got injured. A ball hit his head and two of his hairs were damaged. So he has to leave west indies for hair transplant.
Gautum Gambhir: Gauti-veera bhai bhai. He couldn't have betrayed veeru by performing in his absence. That's called real love..err.rr..friendship.
Yuvraj Singh: haven't u seen his stomach? He is pregnant, dude!
Suresh Raina: His contract has clear mention: "No Short Balls". It's not his fault if bowlers breached the contract.
Yusuf Pathan: He himself doesn't know why is he in the team.
Rohit Sharma: He didn't want to get away from the title, "POTENTIALLY a great batsman" by exploiting his potential.
MSD: He didn't want mumbaikars to again face the traffic jams as they had to after 2007 win. (He is so caring!)
Praveen Kumar: Bappi da was again donating one of his chain. So he had to go there to collect it. (He already has 7 of his chains!)
Harbhajan Singh: Revenge! from MSD for the IPL final.
Zaheer Khan: Actually he was in a big dilemma about what to wear at the nigh party. Now tell me whats more important, cricket or party?? of course party na!
Ravinder Jadega: undoubtedly the man of the tournament. BCCI threw him out of the IPL, and he single-handedly had the team India being thrown out from T20 tournament.
Piyush Chawla: He wanted the selectors to know, what the whole world already knows, that Ojha and Mishra are far than him. Thats why he deliberately bowled bad, so that selectors don't repeat their mistake.
Dinesh Karthik: He was still wondering what his call to Murli Karthik has to do movie with the movie, Karthik calling Karthik.
Ashish Nehra: Look at his face! First give him some food and then ask him to play. You can't play a malnutrition person in the team.
Murli Vijay: He was still praying for yellow jersey to hargeez wins, not realizing its blue! All his prayers went waste!
Vinay Kumar: Ya, a player of such name was there in the team and even played a match !
Umesh Yadav: He went there, enjoyed the parties and came back. He wasn't even bothered to carry drinks, coz none of the batsman stayed that long on the crease.
And the biggest reason of their failure: Cheerleaders were not hot!
Do comment. You may also give your own reasons for T20 defeat.
7 deadly sins, 1 college life!
The Seven Deadly Sins is a classification of the most objectionable vices as per the Christianity (and also as per Roadies!). These are wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.
Sin 1.WRATH (Anger)
Using cuss words when thrown out of the class without given the attendance.
Sin 2. ENVY (Jealously)
There was this dialog in 3idiots "jab dost fail hota hai to dukh hota hai, magar agar woh top kare to zyaada dukh hota hai" (you feel bad when your friend fails, but it really hurts when he/she tops)
Sin 3. PRIDE (self love)
Behaving like a dictator because only you have the car in the whole group!
Sin 4. GLUTTONY (over-consumption of food)
Eating twice-thrice your capacity because it your friend's bday treat!
Sin 5. SLOTH (not utilizing one's talent)
Probably the biggest sin. Not showing your answer in the exam.
Sin 6. LUST (desires of a sexual nature)
Trying over your best friend's girlfriend!
Sin 7. GREED (excessive desire)
Fighting/pleading/blackmailing teacher for extra attendance/marks.
(Commenting on this blog doesn't count for a sin, so do comment. More sin lists coming soon)
200 by THE GOD
Today from 2-30pm to 6-25pm no births and deaths happened throughout the universe. Bombs planted by terrorists did not explode. Nobody succeeded in committing suicide. No accidents happened regardless of over speed or alcohol or anything. Not even a single baby was born. All prayers went unheed. Do you know why? because the GOD was busy creating history at Gwalior!!

If there was any man deserving to score a 200 in one days, it has to be him, THE GOD of CRICKET.
With an international career spanning over four decades (1989 -till now), every word falls short to his stature. He is surely the GOD, humans can't bat like this!!!
50years ahead the time, I will narrate my grandchildren about this mammoth inning and I am sure, they are going to be envious of me. I am just super super excited. Surely one of the best moments of my life.
Thank You Sachin!
Below are some of the best quotes on Sachin:
1) BBC on Sachin
Beneath the helmet, under that unruly curly hair, inside the cranium, there is something we don’t know, something beyond scientific measure. Something that allows him to soar, to roam a territory of sport that, forget us, even those who are gifted enough to play alongside him cannot even fathom. When he goes out to bat, people switch on their TV sets and switch off their lives "
2)Methew HAYDON
“I have seen God. He bats at number 4 for India”
3)Andy Flower
There are 2 kind of batsmen in the world. One Sachin Tendulkar. Two all the others.
4)A banner once said:
I WILL SEE GOD WHEN I DIE BUT TILL THEN I WILL SEE SACHIN
5) Shane Warne
“I’ll be going to bed having nightmares of Sachin just running down the wicket and belting me back over the head for six. He was unstoppable. I don’t think anyone, apart from Don Bradman, is in the same class as Sachin Tendulkar. He is just an amazing player.”
6)Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara
“Even my father’s name is Sachin Tendulkar."

Why One Should Have a Girlfriend
Year 2009 for me!
31 December 2009
11:45PM
I was having New Year party on my terrace with friends. My friends decided to go out somewhere and celebrate New Year there. One of them arranged his brother's car. But I couldn't go with them. I felt disappointed because I wanted to enter 2010 with my friends. They left and I was left at my home.
I was feeling sad :(, wondering that this has been the story of whole 2009- Not getting what I intended. At 11:55PM, my friend called. His brother had refused to give them car and they were all at the society's gate. I rushed and at 12:00AM, I was on roads, with my friends. At that moment I realized, what actually has been the year 2009 for me-
Not getting what I wanted, but neither getting what I didn't want!
I wanted my friends partying till 12:00AM. But they left early. I didn't want to start New Year without my friends, and I was with my friends, not partying but on roads!
When the year 2009 began, only thing I had, was 12th Boards, in my mind. I studied, missed my cousin's marriage in Hyderabad, didn't watch any movie and neither celebrated holi.
There was school farewell. The nightmare of school life ending was becoming a reality. Hearts were heavy, but there were smiles on faces.
On 21st March, everything ended. Board exams, school life and the most beautiful phase of life were over. I had to think ahead.
I intended the few months ahead would be full of joy. It was but not as much as I expected. My science friends and also, the commerce one got busy with entrance preparation. I too, within a week of last exam, submitted my form for CA entrance (ie CPT).
During the post exam days, I learnt swimming. I read few novels. To improve my communication skills, I joined British Council. 30 hours of fun compelled with skill development at BC was the best teaching experience I ever had. (see here) And it was these classes, which indirectly inspired me to have my blog. (now you know who to blame for this blog!!)
In may, came the board results. I craved an above 95 score, but on pessimistic approach, didn't want to go below my class 10th score of 93%. I got 93.2%. I was satisfied but not glad.
The result followed the rush to DU campus for admissions (see here). I dreamed for SRCC and to the least, any other north campus college. The college cut offs arrived and I managed Campus just at point with SGTB Khalsa. I wasn't satisfied with college but still, at least, I was in Campus.
Meanwhile, I gave my CA-CPT exam and cleared it unexpectedly with 82%
From July 15, the college began and soon I realized that my expectations from college life was very high and it's not as colorful as shown. But after few hiccups, I managed a decent friend circle (see here)
I turned 18 on 17th August and soon I realized the importance of being an adult. With CA Coaching classes in evening, my life became really hectic. I realized that now life is not only about fun, but hard work too. (see here)
Next few months were tough. Despite the busyness, I was enjoying this new college-CA life. Roaming in campus, reaching late for lectures, hanging out with friends, long talks on cell, jokes of our CA teacher M.K. Jain, all these were keeping me going.
Then arrived December and the ITT: 100 hours of compulsory IT Training for CA student. With teachers not teaching you anything, making you sit idle everyday for 3 hours, it was such a mental torture. And I couldn't take it and fell ill. The physical and mental weaknesses made me fall in the washroom. The scene of mom and dad holding me on the floors of washroom, still give me jitters. Because of this bullshit ITT, I was on bed. It took me more than a week to recover fully.
December was also the month of college fests and the very fact that ITT was forcing me to give them a skip, made me further frustrated. But I took the risk and missed few of my ITT classes for the fests and the risk paid. The fests, especially Kailash Kher one at SRCC, were rocking.
With tax classes also commencing, the last week on December saw me jumping from one place to another: Tax class in morning, ITT in afternoon and costing class in evening, and then I was supposed to study for my college internals (beginning from 8th Jan). Surprisingly I still squeezed time for hanging out at C.P. on Christmas, watching Avatar and 3 idiots, and for the New Year Party which ended on the roads.
I can't say if 2009 was good or bad for me. But I can say that the life was much better a year ago. But the change (from school to college life) was inevitable. I could have surrendered myself or my happiness to circumstances, but I am still going and more importantly, having fun. I have grown as a human being.
The year 2010 posses greater challenges which I will have to meet strongly and with success. The first 15-20 days have actually been quite good. My ITT ended, without much problem for holidays taken; college exams went off in fun and now the OC(Orientation Course) is also going good.
With hopes that our tomorrow is better that our today, I submit my first post on WordPress.
Thank You.
Kindly rate and comment.
Will be back Soon!
Right now I am in a really bad mood... completely frustrated and xhauseted.. first it was ITT(30th nov to 7th Jan)... then college xams(7th jan to 16th jan) and when today i was counting 2 more days to go, for the life to begin.. the OC (Orientation Course) strikes!!! damm... another week of mental tourcher !!!!
I am sorry sir, I am late...
The professor is winding up the lecture and you enter the class. I am sure you don't want to make following excuses to get attendance:
1) Time is Money, ryt? Keep this 10 rupees note.
2) You should be grateful. At least, I am showing up my face in class.
3) I was with your daughter!!
4) Does it make any difference if I sleep in my bedroom or in the class?
5) I was about to leave, but then Tata uncle appeared. He wanted me to donate few thousands crorer for his new ultra-nano car venture. But I didn't have the pen.
6) How dare you start the class without me??
7) It's not my fault if the time table doesn't mention that it is in Indian Standard Time.
8) I know what you did last weekend. So, it would be better for you if I get the attendance.
9) The lecture ends at 10 and its 9.55 only. So technically I have attended the lecture.
10) Who are you? Have I seen you somewhere?
Number 45 for THE GOD!!
"Nobody does solos better than Sachin Tendulkar, nor, perhaps, has anyone endured as much heartbreak during those solos."
-This is how cricinfo summarizes Sachin's 45th ton in ODI.
It was heartbreaking to see India loosing by 3runs. But winning or losing is immaterial against the divine pleasure of watching THE GOD scoring 175.
No matter how much the Yuvis or Dhonis or Sehwags score, there is no better sight in world cricket than Sachin's batting.
The best part was when he received the man of the match, and when asked what drives you to play like this, he said, 'Passion'. 'I love playing for my country, and it's an honor'.
